We’ve been flooding our social media channels with Subaru WRX content lately to promote our LED daytime running light fog bezel. USDM Subaru cars typically lack in one area or another compared to their JDM counterparts. In the WRX’s case, it’s missing a set of daytime running lights separate from the head light housing. JDM fog bezels come standard with an LED strip light to act as daytime running lights, and from afar really lend itself to the tuner aesthetic of the WRX and WRX STi. But while U.S. market Subaru WRXs lack the complete LED package in the front, they are also lacking in the back end. This is where the 3-in-1 LED rear fog light assembly kit comes in.
Jeep is such an American classic, with its versatility demonstrated from war machine all the way to Hollywood movie star. The originator of Jeep is the famous World War II classic Willys, which is a symbol of the American steadfastness. The Jeep Willys played an important role in the war, so much that post-war consumers clamored for a civilian on-road use vehicle. As an off-road brand, Jeep came out with smaller commercial fans with a compact and lightweight body for suitable transportation and work use.
This is a guide demonstrating how to install new LED Daytime Running Lights for 2012-up Volkswagen Passat. This LED DRL replaces the already existing fog light bezel with a pretty straightforward installation. You’ll be on your way a new set of LED lamps in no time at all.
Before you proceed, please note that there are two versions of the front grill: straight grill and honeycomb grill . This guide features a straight grill for demonstration, but the installation process for both straight and honeycomb grille are the same.
Here is the straight grill and the honeycomb grill:
1. Gently remove the stock bezel (fog light cover).
One of our customers purchased this LED High Beam Daytime Running Light Kit for her 2013 Dodge Charger to upgrade her factory lights. For some reason, these LED bulbs didn’t light up and she made us aware of the issue and we immediately did some testing to see what the problem was so that it could be fixed and ready to use.
For most of the newer passenger cars that are equipped with factory daytime running lights, they also function as another type of light such as the turn signals or more commonly, the high beams. This is true for most vehicles, but for a select few, they have dedicated daytime running light bulbs depending on what type of headlight trim the vehicle has. In the case of the 2013+ Mazda CX-5’s, the halogen headlight trim uses the high beams at half power as the daytime running lights and the HID/Xenon headlight trim uses a dedicated daytime running light. With these cars, the high beams are separate and are not changed when changing the daytime running lights.
The factory daytime running light is a P13W sized bulb and can be replaced by our Plasma High Power P13W LED Bulbs; each bulb produces 5W for a super bright output. Each bulb contains one CREE Q5 High Power LED on the top with magnified optical projector lens and four 3-Emitter Plasma LEDs on the side to create 360 degrees of light. These are a direct replacement and require no modification of the wires and no additional components. Other drivers will definitely notice you with a 1200 lumen of output per bulb during the day; this is a wonderful safety and aesthetic upgrade for your CX-5.
This highly aesthetic upgrade is one that you should add onto your wish list. LED daytime running lights are a cost-effective way to upgrade the look of your car to something more modern looking; instead of spending hundreds of dollars on an HID kit additional parts, you can attain the same type of 6000K Xenon White look with these LED replacement bulbs. Stand out from the rest of the traffic with these lights for your car.
