BMW LED Xenon White Angel Eyes VS Boring Halogen Stock

The 360 Degree 80W CREE High Power H8 LED BMW Angel Eyes Ring Marker Bulbs for BMW are much, much brighter than their factory incandescent counterparts. The LED Angel Eyes just look so much more energetic and don’t have that dull yellow glow that plagues so many vehicles on the road today. There are no modifications needed for this application, as the BMW Angel Eyes are simply plug and play. There aren’t any wires hanging outside of the headlight, for a clean and classy look.

2013 Las Vegas SEMA Coverage: The LED Lights – Part Three

SEMA is not all about the car builds and new car releases, it’s also about consumer product demonstrations and new products for enthusiasts. We at iJDMTOY have a keen eye on lights and especially LED lights; we saw quite a bit of LED products on cars that we thought we’d share with everyone! We saw LED angel eyes on other cars besides BMW’s, LED work lights, and other similar lights we carry at our store; we’ll share these photos to give you an idea of what you can accomplish with similar lights that we carry.

To start off, there are the angel eyes. There were a lot of LED angel eye lights on cars at SEMA that originally did not have them. It just goes to show you how cool these lights look on almost any vehicle out there. We are far from the old CCFL halo ring days of yesteryear and have now upgraded to brighter and better LED alternatives.

Since not every headlight is the same size so there are multiple LED ring sizes available that can be purchased. For example, larger headlights like on this Chevrolet Camaro require rings that are much larger than say a Honda Civic would.

One more example would this BMW. But most BMWs already come with angel eyes though, right? Yes, while this is true, the factory angel eye design is poor and does not allow the entire ring to be lit up evenly in most cases. This owner decided to put actual LED rings on top of his existing halo rings to create a better look for his car.

We’ll step away from the passenger car style and jump right into the off-road scene for a bit to show the LED work lights we saw on many off-road car builds. While you’re out in the desert, mud, or harsh terrain, regular city lights may not be enough light for safety issues. This is where high-output LED work bars and lights come into play.

Since LED work lights consume such a low amount of electricity, but produce a high output they are ideal for off-road vehicles that have other accessories such as winches, radios, and other important electronic equipment.

While we passed by luxury car builds, we spotted a similar looking LED setup that we sell on this Lexus GS350 with a particularly aggressive front bumper. The LED lights are arranged in an “L-shaped” pattern that can be achieved with our very similar 10 piece Flexible LED DRL kit on our website. Many of these lights are custom type projects so it’s not a direct replacement of any kind.

Super Bright 50W H11 CREE LED Fog Lights on a 2012 BMW 535i

For such an expensive luxury vehicle, one would assume that the fog lights would be more than just regular incandescent halogen bulbs. While it is generally accepted that yellow fog lights help with visibility in less than desirable conditions, they are also not the prettiest looking items on the car at night; when you take into account that it may be also equipped with HID headlights and LED angel eyes which are all bright white in color. Our 50W H11 CREE LED fog light bulbs are the perfect solution to this dilemma.

The H11 LED bulbs for fog lights for this BMW are the brightest direct replacement bulbs we carry. Each bulb operates at 10W, but has a maximum operating capacity of 50W. This is all thanks to the super bright CREE R4 XP-E LED diodes per bulb which have two CREE diodes on the top inside a 3x magnifying optical lens and eight CREE diodes on the side to provide light from all sides. These are available in 6000K Xenon White so they are ideal for matching similar range lights.

Please keep in mind that since this is used on a European vehicle, there will be error messages and flickering issues to deal with so because of that, we do recommend selecting the optional H11/H8 Error Free Decoder Wiring Kit along with the lights to be purchased together. Without the wiring kit, error messages and flickering may appear which are quite annoying to deal with. Avoid that frustration with the plug and play wiring adapters for these H11 CREE LED fog lights.

BMW LED Angel Eye Halo Rings on a 2005 BMW 330i Sedan

The LED angel eye halo rings we have are compatible with the E36 and E46 models, but make sure that you check out the product page to see the complete compatibility list before purchasing. On this particular 2005 BMW 330i Sedan with factory equipped HID/Xenon headlights, these LED angel eyes were a perfect fit. These LED rings require that the headlight housing be opened up to install, but luckily the E46 headlights are not sealed with sealant. Instead of sealant, a removable rubber seal is used to hold the lens to the headlight so installation does not take long to do at all.

The LED rings just clip onto the existing housing so there is no need for any modifications to install these LED angel eyes. The kit includes the plastic clips and adhesive tape for the installation. Wiring is very straight forward and can be easily wired by any individual with basic electrical knowledge and with the help of our installation guide on the website. Each ring measures in at 5.15” (131mm) and has 66-SMD LED 1210 diodes per ring to make up a total of 264 for both headlights. Unlike the conventional CCFL angel eye design, these lights do not have any blind or dim spots; the entire ring is evenly lit from any direction you look at it. The ease of installation and the benefits of these LED halo rings make these the ideal choice for an affordable modification for many BMW E36 and E46 owners.
