Honda Accord with HID conversion and High Beam DRL

A customer from iJDMTOY installed new HID headlights with a 6000K 9006 HID Conversion Kit for the low beams. The 6000K Ultra White HID conversion kit is plug and play for easy use. It also features a very slim ballast that can increase the lifespan of the HID bulb by up to 30%, using sophisticated chipset technology to regulate electrical currents. With the HID conversion, you can experience up to 3 times more light output, while at the same time use less energy.

If you look at the pictures below, you will see that the high beams have been converted into daytime driving lights using a 68-SMD LED bulb. These functional high beam daytime running lights will add a stylish glow to your car.

New LED technology for Headlight Lamps

The new movement is about to come. For automotive giants like Audi, BMW and Toyota, they are all actively working on the next generation of LED application, the LED automotive headlight lamps.

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 21, 2010 – You have probably heard about all these applications for the LED technology, the LED traffic light around the street, the bright and prettier automotive LED tail lights, stop lights and corner lights such as BMW or Mercedes, and the even the latest LED daytime running lights (DRL) starts by Audi.

The new movement is about to come. For automotive giants like Audi, BMW and Toyota, they are all actively working on the next generation of LED application, the LED automotive headlight lamps.

The evolution from halogen headlight bulbs to LED headlight assembling means brighter and whiter lighting output, as well as the longer lasting (4 times longer lasting) with less energy consumption overall.

The brighter lighting output will provide better visibility therefore improving the overall safety on the road.

The whiter color means the color temperature of LED headlight lamps is about 5000 kelvin to 5500 kelvin which is closer to the color of the sun light vs the halogen filament headlight bulbs’ yellowish 3500 kelvin.

Also the LED is famous for its long lasting, so it will make the headlight last "forever" with almost zero maintain cost v.s. the halogen headlight’s 500 working hours only.

Audi has announced it new Audi R8 with LED headlight lamps and Toyota has also introduced its new 2010 Hybrid Prius with optional LED headlight lamps (also for its upper brand Lexus LS600h).

In the short future, more cars will adopt the LED technology for headlight lamps for its brighter, whiter appearance and econ-friendly and long lasting characteristics.

New Xenon White/Amber Yellow Audi Style LED Strip Lights (LED lighting strip)

Introducing the new Audi Style LED strip lights, come in both Xenon White and Amber Yellow Dual Color Switchback Function.

It is perfect for using as both daytime running lights and add-on turn signal lights. These will give you a nice Audi A5 or R8 style LED daytime running lights (also called LED headlights) or the latest 2010 and up Mercedes E Class and S Class LED driving lights (aka LED fog lights)

also I have included a brief installation diagram showing you guys how to install this kind of LED strip lights (since this is an add-on and if you connect this according to the installation diagram, you will not get error message on dashboard. We have tried on Porsche Cayman, BMW X5 and a Mercedes E Class to confirm this)

We have done installation for several cars in the past weekend. Oh, man, these look awesome! very aggressive appearance and multi-function (daytime running lights and turn signal lights). I have included couple pictures from a 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe, a 2010 Porsche Cayman, you guys can take a look.
