50W 9005 CREE LED Daytime Running Light Bulbs on Lexus ES350

The 2007 and up Lexus ES350 uses 9005 sized bulbs for the daytime running lights and it is quite obvious to see the benefits to upgrade to LED lights. The factory incandescent halogen bulbs provide a dull, yellow color that is nothing special or noticeable. The 9005 LED bulbs that this ES350 has installed turn that around by providing a more crisp and stylish HID-like color that is sure to draw attention driving down the road.

These LED bulbs use ten 5W high power CREE Q5 XP-E LED diodes per bulb and all operate together for a combined output of 10W. Since there are eight CREE LED diodes on the side, it provides the 360 degree shine to fill up the housing while the two on the top project light outwards thanks to the magnifying optical lens. The lights are also rated at 6000K so they are our classic Xenon White color so it would go great with our other Xenon White lights. Keep in mind that even though these high output bulbs are very bright, they are not intended to be used for high beam lights at night. Your high beams will still operate, but they will not provide you the same amount of light output as they once did; these are more for aesthetic purposes only.

These lights would not work by themselves so they require our Lexus R4 setup which includes a pair of canbus decoders to prevent issues such as flickering and error messages. Using the 9005 CREE LED high beam and daytime running light bulbs by themselves may cause issues such as partial light up, flickering, and errors. The setup is completely plug and play so it requires no modification of the wiring and is very easy to install, but make sure you follow the instruction guide that comes with the kit so you install it properly.

LED Daytime Running Lights on a 2012 and up BMW F30 335i

The latest generation of the BMW 3-series is known as the F30 chassis and includes all 3-series vehicles starting from 2012 and up. The non-factory HID headlights utilize a small bulb for the daytime running lights which is the PW24W bulb size; this small bulb is an incandescent halogen bulb so it produces the typical pale yellow glow. Being a BMW, it certainly feels awkward to have such a luxurious vehicle with incandescent halogen bulbs that do not match the sophistication of the car. Fortunately, we have an error free replacement LED bulb for this light.

Our PW24W LED DRL bulbs are 100% plug and play so it requires no modification. It fits into the factory socket assembly just like stock and can be done with a few minutes of your time. The F30 BMW LED daytime lights, like every other European car is configured using a can-bus system so it will detect if the bulb is not properly working. Since LED bulbs draw far less power than the factory bulbs, this is an issue. Our PW24W LED bulbs are can-bus error free so they will function and light up without any distracting and annoying error messages on the dash. These all new non-polar design also makes installation much easier as you do not have to figure out which side is positive; instead you simply just plug it in and you are ready to go.

50W CREE P13W LED Bulbs for the Chevy Camaro Fog Lights

The P13W is a new style of bulb that is slowly becoming more and more popular among many car manufacturers. It was first introduced on the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro with factory HID headlights for the daytime running lights, but has slowly adapted itself to be the factory fog lights for the newer Toyota Highlander as well as the daytime running lights for the newer Mazda CX-5 with factory HID headlights. Whatever the application may be, we have an affordable solution to replace those lights with an LED bulb that is more efficient and stylish than the factory incandescent bulbs.

These P13W LED bulbs are powered by ten 5W high power CREE XP-E LED diodes per bulb; with eight on the side and two on the top accompanied with a 3x magnifying optical lens, they provide a 360 degree coverage of light while providing projection. The bulbs operate at 10W, but have a maximum capability of 50W; these bulbs do not constantly operate at 50W due to issues such as overheating that will occur. These lights are available in the 6000K Xenon White color only, but should match most factory and aftermarket 6000-8000K HID lights. The P13W CREE LED bulbs are plug and play with the compatible applications and requires no modification to install which makes it a perfect DIY item.

68-SMD 9005 LED Daytime Running Lights for the 2012 Acura TL

The fourth generation Acura TL began production in 2008 and is still the current generation to this day. While this current generation is the latest in technology upgrades such as a 15GB hard drive, USB support, Bluetooth compatibility and much more, it lacks sophisticated LED lights that really turn the car into a modern looking vehicle. Many of the newer Honda and Acura vehicles have a system that detects error messages whenever the daytime running lights are not operating correctly and this one is no exception. Since LED lights draw much less power than the factory incandescent filament bulbs, the vehicle will think that the lights are out which will produce that annoying “DRL” light to come on in the dash. Our 9005 LED daytime light kit for the fourth generation Acura TL will make sure that this does not happen while being 100% plug and play. The easy to install kit can be installed on your Acura TL in about an hour; one hour to change that dull yellow into a unique HID-like white color is well worth it.

The daytime running lights also serve as the high beams; with the factory bulbs the daytime running lights are high beams at half output. With these LED replacements, they require a full 12v power so they are at 100% output already and therefore cannot become brighter at night. These 68-SMD LED 9005 replacement bulbs are meant to serve as an aesthetic upgrade only and is not meant to produce a brighter high beam light. The output during the day while the daytime running lights are on is still quite remarkable with that being said.

iJDMTOY 9005 LED Daytime Running Light Kit for a Lexus IS-F

The Lexus IS-F is equipped with standard daytime running lights from factory just like the previous IS models. Before the LED daytime running light bar was made standard, it utilized the high beam bulb at a lower output to use as the daytime running lights. The daytime running lights for these cars operate at roughly 6-8v which is about half power of the high beams. Unfortunately, the factory incandescent LED bulbs are a generic yellow color and do not look right on a luxury sports car like the IS-F. We have an LED DRL kit for this car and other similar Lexus vehicles that transforms the yellow into a modern HID-like color.

Replacing just only the daytime running lights with an LED bulb will result in issues such as error messages; this is why we have included a pair of can-bus decoders with our kit. These can-bus LED decoders connect directly to the factory harness and does not require modifications to install; the factory dust cap will have to be removed from behind the daytime running lights though, but that will not create any problems.

Our LED DRL Replacement Kit is available in either our classic 6000K Xenon White or exotic 20,000K Ultra Blue; we recommend Xenon White due to its popularity and acceptance as a replacement light color. Ultra Blue is available, but we do warn that the color may be too exotic and may attract attention from law enforcement. Each bulb has 68-SMD LED diodes on it and produces enough light allow the car to be safely seen during the day. However, due to the design of LED lights and their low wattage output, these lights would not be suitable for use as high beams; these are an aesthetic upgrade for the daytime running lights.
