50W 9005 CREE LED Daytime Running Light Bulbs on Lexus ES350

The 2007 and up Lexus ES350 uses 9005 sized bulbs for the daytime running lights and it is quite obvious to see the benefits to upgrade to LED lights. The factory incandescent halogen bulbs provide a dull, yellow color that is nothing special or noticeable. The 9005 LED bulbs that this ES350 has installed turn that around by providing a more crisp and stylish HID-like color that is sure to draw attention driving down the road.

These LED bulbs use ten 5W high power CREE Q5 XP-E LED diodes per bulb and all operate together for a combined output of 10W. Since there are eight CREE LED diodes on the side, it provides the 360 degree shine to fill up the housing while the two on the top project light outwards thanks to the magnifying optical lens. The lights are also rated at 6000K so they are our classic Xenon White color so it would go great with our other Xenon White lights. Keep in mind that even though these high output bulbs are very bright, they are not intended to be used for high beam lights at night. Your high beams will still operate, but they will not provide you the same amount of light output as they once did; these are more for aesthetic purposes only.

These lights would not work by themselves so they require our Lexus R4 setup which includes a pair of canbus decoders to prevent issues such as flickering and error messages. Using the 9005 CREE LED high beam and daytime running light bulbs by themselves may cause issues such as partial light up, flickering, and errors. The setup is completely plug and play so it requires no modification of the wiring and is very easy to install, but make sure you follow the instruction guide that comes with the kit so you install it properly.

Infiniti G37 with 9-SMD 168 LED Bulbs For Parking Lights

Parking lights are also known as city lights and are the lights that turn on at the first position of your light controls. These lights provide additional light in addition to the main low beams and are sometimes used as turn signals on certain vehicles as well. Many higher end vehicles such as this Infiniti G37 comes with factory installed HID headlights for the low beams and the yellow incandescent parking light bulbs just do not do justice next to them.

Installed on this Infiniti G37 are our 168 LED parking lights which have 9-SMD 5050 LED diodes per bulb. These lights are rated at 6000K which makes these a much better alternative to the factory color; the color is very versatile and can match closely with HID lights that range from 4300K to 8000K. It is recommended to go with a 6000K HID light for the closest match though. These specific lights are available in either Xenon White as pictured or in 20,000K Ultra Blue which is recommended for off-road use only.

The LED parking lights are very easy to install on the vehicle as it only requires removal of the factory bulb and bulb holder from the housing. The procedure is very straight forward as it just replaces the bulb, but depending on the application that this is going on, it may require removal of other components to access the parking lights. Some vehicles may be able to access the parking lights from the top of the engine bay and some may require access from the fender liner in the wheel well. Whatever application you have, LED parking lights are a cost-effective way to turn that ugly yellow into an HID-like color that is sure to have people notice.

LED Daytime Running Lights on a 2012 and up BMW F30 335i

The latest generation of the BMW 3-series is known as the F30 chassis and includes all 3-series vehicles starting from 2012 and up. The non-factory HID headlights utilize a small bulb for the daytime running lights which is the PW24W bulb size; this small bulb is an incandescent halogen bulb so it produces the typical pale yellow glow. Being a BMW, it certainly feels awkward to have such a luxurious vehicle with incandescent halogen bulbs that do not match the sophistication of the car. Fortunately, we have an error free replacement LED bulb for this light.

Our PW24W LED DRL bulbs are 100% plug and play so it requires no modification. It fits into the factory socket assembly just like stock and can be done with a few minutes of your time. Each bulb contains 18-SMD 5050 LED diodes and produces a 6000K Xenon White glow. The F30 BMW LED daytime lights, like every other European car is configured using a can-bus system so it will detect if the bulb is not properly working. Since LED bulbs draw far less power than the factory bulbs, this is an issue. Our PW24W LED bulbs are can-bus error free so they will function and light up without any distracting and annoying error messages on the dash. These all new non-polar design also makes installation much easier as you do not have to figure out which side is positive; instead you simply just plug it in and you are ready to go.

Mercedes-Benz E350 Coupe with 25W CREE LED 921 Reverse Lights

On the tail lights of many European vehicles, the reverse light bulb is very small and is a tiny slit of clear lens surrounded by a sea of red. Many European vehicles follow this style of light and it’s only natural that the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E350 Coupe would also have this style. Aesthetically, this is very ideal as it is subtle and maintains the overall red appearance of the tail lights, but since the housing is so small, the light output is dim. This is why a high powered LED bulb would be ideal for these types of housings.

These Mercedes E350 LED reverse lights are rated at 25w and produce approximately 500 lumen for superior visibility. Each T15 (921) bulb uses five CREE XP-E R4 LED diodes; four on the side and one on top with a 3x optical lens for projection purposes. Thanks to its design, it is able to provide a 360 degree shine coverage of light while producing light projection making this ideal for this small housing. Larger housings may benefit from a flood type light, but these small reverse light housings do not need that. However, having all that power in a small housing that focuses the light creates an intense shine.

Golden Yellow 9005 LED Daytime Running Lights on a Scion FR-S

The stock daytime running lights come standard with a dual filament 9005 incandescent halogen bulb which produces a yellow glow during the day and at night when the high beams are on; the high beams and daytime running light functions both share the same bulb. The yellow that is created from a filament bulb is a bit pale in color and lacks the richness you’d see in other yellows. The JDM Yellow LED bulbs that our DRL kit has a deep rich golden color that will grab some attention while you drive down the street.

Our Golden Yellow 9005 LED Bulbs contain 68-SMD 1210 LED diodes per bulb to produce its light and exclusively works for the Scion FR-S and its daytime running and high beam lights. It is available in several other different colors as well such as the traditional 6000K Xenon White and 20,000K Ultra Blue. In this article, we will focus on this more unique color that not everybody notices often. The JDM Yellow look has been around for quite some time and its popularity has died down since the early 2000s, but its still a very attractive color.

They are very bright and are more than enough to be noticed by other motorists during the day or night.
