First Mod For Your Scion FR-S: LED Daytime Running Lights

The question that comes into mind for nearly all car enthusiasts when they purchase a new is, “What should I do first to my brand new car?!”. While there are so many choices out there for a first modification, a first modification for most car enthusiasts would be to create a unique look to set their car apart from the sea of other cars. Sure, you can change out an LED bulb here and there which will change the light (this is not a bad thing though!), but why stop there? This LED daytime running light will substitute the existing fog light bezel and fog light itself (if your vehicle was equipped with it) with an exact fit replacement LED lamp. This light clips onto the factory location using the same clips so it requires no modification to the bumper and is completely reversible if you ever need to take it off. This light is intended to fit the 2013 and up Scion FR-S to resemble the LED daytime running lamps on the Toyota 86/GT86 in Japan. Since the debut of the Scion FR-S in the United States, it has been at the center of attention in the automotive industry. However, unlike its equivalent in Japan; known as the Toyota 86, it does not have an option to come with LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlights in a similar style as the newer Audi and Lexus vehicles do. This style of LED daytime running light has been becoming increasingly popular among car enthusiasts. Since replacing the entire headlight assembly is quite expensive and requires complicated wiring, we decided to provide an alternative solution to this dilemma.

We are proud to introduce our brand new 7.5W Exact Fit High Power LED Daytime Running Lights for the Scion FR-S. This LED daytime running light replaces the fog light assembly area with an LED bar that looks like the vehicle came equipped from factory like this. It is a subtle, yet dramatic change to the exterior of the Scion FR-S.

While most of our LED lights are direct replacements of the original factory lights, we do offer unique solutions to custom LED lights such as our 10W High Power LEDayFlex Style Daytime Running Light kit. These innovative LED lights allow a flexible installation that can be applied to almost any vehicle. Each kit comes with ten separate 1W LED Eagle Eye LED pieces that are attached in a series and a DRL Module Box. They are available as Xenon White or the switchback style for a little bit more.

Our customer with this VIP-styled Lexus GS350 wanted a unique look on his car so he purchased these LEDayFlex LED lights and with some custom work, he managed to fit it vertically on his lower bumper. Out of the ten pieces in the kit, he only used eight as that was the maximum amount allowed for the room he had to work with. As long as you have enough space and have an idea of how you want to install these, it is a relatively easy installation since we also include a drill bit in the same exact size as the lights!

These LEDayFlex Daytime Lights are controlled by a Module Box which allows for optional features such as a strobe effect. These lights can be on when the vehicle is on or when any other light is on depending on how you wire it. Since these lights are also available in the switchback style where it has an Amber turn signal mode, these can be creatively installed in many ways.

9005 LED Daytime Running Lights for a Fancy Subaru Impreza WRX

The recent aesthetic feature of most of the newer vehicles being released to the public are the LED daytime running lights which are lit up as a white light. LED lights offer a variety of advantages over standard incandescent lights such as: more efficiency in converting power into light, less power consumption, and a much more appealing color of light and many more! However, not every vehicle has this luxury of a factory installed LED daytime running light so for the vehicles that came with incandescent lights for the DRLs; we have a solution available which is our LED replacement bulbs.

Installed on this Subaru Impreza WRX is our 68-SMD 9005 LED replacement bulbs which are a direct replacement to the factory bulbs and do not require any type of modification or additional components. These simple to install bulbs change the color from a dull yellow to a unique 6000K Xenon White color that will closely match aftermarket 6000-8000K color HID kits.

Since the high beams are also the same bulb as the daytime running light, some of you may wonder if the high beam function will still work and the answer is yes; although we do recommend only replacing these lights for their aesthetic qualities rather than the actual output at night during high beam mode.

Brand new Chevy Cruze Exact Fit 10w LED Daytime Running Lights

If you haven’t noticed already, many of the newer European vehicles are coming out of the dealership with factory installed LED daytime running light bars either on the headlight or where the fog lights would be. This innovative design is taking over the OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) world by storm; you see these types of lights on all the newer Honda, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, and many other manufacturers! Unfortunately, not every car manufacturer has jumped on board this design train just yet, but we have a solution for those car manufacturers; introducing our new 10w Exact Fit LED Daytime Running Lights (styled after the Mercedes-Benz W204 C-Class) for the 2011 and up Chevy Cruze.

This entire assembly is exact fit and will replace the lower fog light area of the Chevy Cruze without having to modify anything; simply clip off the original piece and replace with ours. Each lamp contains five (5) individual high power LED chips that produce 5w each, providing a total of 10w per lamp producing a 6000K Xenon White color. These will be noticeable during the day and night and will give your new Chevy Cruze that updated European look. The installation is also very straight forward, simply connect the two wires (positive and negative) to any power source you want the lights to turn on with such as your existing fog light wiring or any other 12v power source.
